I posted weeks back with a photo showing off a tricked out Montesa 4RT Repsol Replica. Here are some follow up photos for your viewing pleasure.

Quite a different kettle of fish in comparison to mine which just goes to show how much fun you can have customising your trials bike. Again the tank was done by H&D Racing so if you fancy something like this for your own Mont you should give them a shout. If you have tricked out your Montesa and have any pictures then give us a shout and if we get any decent photos we will whack them on this site.

Tricking out the Montesa: Part 2

Bit of a delay with the updates on the progress with the new Montesa but there’s plenty of new stuff to show off. Since the last update, which had just the new colours rims, hubs and trick disks, there’s been a bundle of goodies arriving in the post.

First up came the most anticipated of all. The new flat tank came from H and D Racing who do an awesome job making these things. The photo below shows the tank as it arrived, followed by photos of it on the bike. Check out their site for more info.

After this was a minor addition of swinging arm protectors as I seem to do a good job of rubbing mine, which isn’t ideal when the time comes to sell (even though that… continue reading...

Tricking out the Montesa: Part 1

After spending a lot of time thinking, I finally decided to get rid of the Gasser and jump back on the Montesa 4RT. The last time I was riding one was 06 and we did a lot of trickery to it and really made it something a bit original. Not being one to break tradition, I’m planning on adding bits and bobs to this one and really make it my own. I’m going to keep updates of the progress on here as I add bit by bit to it.

I’ve started off with the basics. The wheels.

This is the bike as it arrived.

Yesterday I put on the red wheels, which have black hubs and trick wavy disks on as you can see below.

Tricking out a Montesa 4RT

This week a custom made tank finally arrived for the Montesa 4RT, which you can see below. Excuse the poor quality photo as it was taken with my phone camera. Yesterday the new wheels came which are identical colour to the tank and look trick. I will upload some photos soon when a bit more has been added to it.

Gas Gas 4-stroke photos

Gas Gas have finally shown off their much anticipated 4-stroke model at the recent Milan show. You can see them here.

I have to say my first impression of the machine is very positive. I enjoy riding the Gas Gas due to it’s light feel and the fact it’s so easy to maneuver in tight, tricky sections. I like the red frame and am warming to the white plastics, although I would probably chuck on a red front mud guard to go with my red rims that I currently ride with. The engine looks very tidy and compact, which is nice to see and hopefully this means that the 4T model won’t be too dissimilar to the 2 stroke in terms of weight. I can’t wait to get hold of more details regarding the bike spec. I can’t see any mention of these details, not even engine capacity, which would be nice to know. No mention on when to expect these bikes to hit the market either, although I can’t… continue reading...
