Tricking out the Montesa: Part 1
Posted by Dan on 19/06/2008 to Bikes and Trials photos
After spending a lot of time thinking, I finally decided to get rid of the Gasser and jump back on the Montesa 4RT. The last time I was riding one was 06 and we did a lot of trickery to it and really made it something a bit original. Not being one to break tradition, I’m planning on adding bits and bobs to this one and really make it my own. I’m going to keep updates of the progress on here as I add bit by bit to it.
I’ve started off with the basics. The wheels.
This is the bike as it arrived.
Yesterday I put on the red wheels, which have black hubs and trick wavy disks on as you can see below.

Tricking out a Montesa 4RT
Posted by Dan on 02/05/2008 to Trials photos
This week a custom made tank finally arrived for the Montesa 4RT, which you can see below. Excuse the poor quality photo as it was taken with my phone camera. Yesterday the new wheels came which are identical colour to the tank and look trick. I will upload some photos soon when a bit more has been added to it.
Let us know what you think.

Gas Gas 4-stroke photos
Posted by Dan on 12/11/2007 to Links, Opinion, Bikes and Trials photos
Gas Gas have finally shown off their much anticipated 4-stroke model at the recent Milan show. You can see them here.
I have to say my first impression of the machine is very positive. I enjoy riding the Gas Gas due to it’s light feel and the fact it’s so easy to maneuver in tight, tricky sections. I like the red frame and am warming to the white plastics, although I would probably chuck on a red front mud guard to go with my red rims that I currently ride with. The engine looks very tidy and compact, which is nice to see and hopefully this means that the 4T model won’t be too dissimilar to the 2 stroke in terms of weight. I can’t wait to get hold of more details regarding the bike spec. I can’t see any mention of these details, not even engine capacity, which would be nice to know. Posted by Dan on 12/09/2007 to Links, Bikes and Trials photos
Xispa have released what I would consider to be “official” photos of their new X250R trials bike. There is also additional information regarding the bike’s spec, which is of interest. I have to say that although it’s not the most exciting of bikes in terms of graphics it has definitely grown on me. Really looking forward to finding out what they ride like.

Beta have finally released pictures of their 2008 model with a list of changes. Most notable for me would have to be the change in carb, as they are now running on a Keihin. Does look nice though I must admit.
