Gas Gas 4-stroke photos

Gas Gas have finally shown off their much anticipated 4-stroke model at the recent Milan show. You can see them here.

I have to say my first impression of the machine is very positive. I enjoy riding the Gas Gas due to it’s light feel and the fact it’s so easy to maneuver in tight, tricky sections. I like the red frame and am warming to the white plastics, although I would probably chuck on a red front mud guard to go with my red rims that I currently ride with. The engine looks very tidy and compact, which is nice to see and hopefully this means that the 4T model won’t be too dissimilar to the 2 stroke in terms of weight. I can’t wait to get hold of more details regarding the bike spec. I can’t see any mention of these details, not even engine capacity, which would be nice to know. No mention on when to expect these bikes to hit the market either, although I can’t… continue reading...

Wiggy signs for TRW

As I expect many of you are aware, Alexz Wigg has signed a contract with the TRW team. You can read the press statement here to get a little more insight into matters. I personally think this is a great move for Wiggy, who I feel will benefit largely from riding for a larger team who can really give him the support required to make it to the top. TRW have shown they can produce top notch machinery that can compete with the factores, as seen this year with James Dabill’s impressive debut season on the four banger.

I’m looking forward to seeing how Wiggy gets on with the bike as it is quite radically different from the Gasers he has been riding for the past 9 years.

Sherco taking legal action

Earlier this week Sherco released this statement regarding the launch of “a trials motorcycle that is practically identical” to that of their own. I said back around the launch of the new machine that it reminded me a lot of the Sherco. It looks as though Sherco are preparing legal action so it’s anyones guess as to what will happen.
