Tricking out the Montesa: Part 1

After spending a lot of time thinking, I finally decided to get rid of the Gasser and jump back on the Montesa 4RT. The last time I was riding one was 06 and we did a lot of trickery to it and really made it something a bit original. Not being one to break tradition, I’m planning on adding bits and bobs to this one and really make it my own. I’m going to keep updates of the progress on here as I add bit by bit to it.

I’ve started off with the basics. The wheels.

This is the bike as it arrived.

Montesa 4RT

Yesterday I put on the red wheels, which have black hubs and trick wavy disks on as you can see below.

So far changes include -

  • Red rims
  • Black hubs
  • Black rear sprocket
  • Wavy brake disks

I ordered up a whack of additional goodies last night too, so expect to see some more photos soon. New handle bars, tank, exhaust cover, footrests hangings and more all on the way. Let me know what you think.
