Challoner Wild Card Ride In Paris X-Trial

Late last week Jack Challoner was invited to compete the final round of the 2012 FIM X-Trial World Championships in Paris as a guest rider.  Challoner who has had only one ride in the 2012 season, in the Geneva leg of the Championship, was unable to maintain the brilliant position he set out in the 2011 championship where he finished in 6th position.  Meanwhile at the top of the podium stood a triumphant Toni Bou who sensationally won every round of the 2012 season, dominating once again in Paris.

Michael Brown Reflects On Full X-Trial Season

Seven rounds have made up the thrilling 2012 FIM X-Trial World Championship, and the final round in Paris made the perfect finale.  Gas Gas UK rider Michael Brown didn’t manage to improve on the pace he showed in Milan last weekend and concluded the night in eighth position after beating fellow British rider and former team mate Jack Challoner (Beta) in an “against the clock” tie-breaker. At the top of the leader board Toni Bou (Spa - Montesa) completed his run of victories and took the world championship gold medal for the sixth time running.

Raga close in Milan

A single point, this is the difference that separated Adam Raga from victory this weekend in the X-Trial of Milan after a tight battle for places of honor that were not decided until the last zone. In fact, the trial ended with a tie on points between the Gas Gas rider and Toni Bou. Although he couldn’t receive the honors of the winner, Adam tasted this second place like a victory, being this the most hotly contested race of this season.

Michael Brown Milan X-Trial Report

Michael Brown was in Milan this weekend for the penultimate round of the 2012 FIM X-Trial World Championships. Held at the Fila Forum arena, 10 riders took part in the qualification lap, all fighting for the six available places in the semi-finals. KX-energy rider and Gas Gas UK frontman, Michael Brown only managed to secure an eighth position on the day, leaving him seventh in the championship standings with only one round remaining in Paris next weekend. Spanish icon, Toni Bou (Montesa) took his six consecutive win in the championships, taking his sixth Indoor world championship title too.
